FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. WHAT IS VIRGIN HAIR ?
Virgin hair extensions are made from 100% human hair from a living donor (person). The person willingly donates their hair which is cut from a ponytail or in some cases the scalp this is not the case for Ellemane Hair as all our bundles come from one ponytail from a single donor. Once the hair is cut is then wafted into bundles and then it's vigorously washed. After washing the hair is placed in a high-temperature steamer this process creates all our various LUXE textures such as Bodywave, Deepwave, Curly, etc. Furthermore, the steaming process furthers kills bacteria off the hair. At Ellemane Hair we never use chemicals, nor do we dye or use heated tools to straighten or curl the hair as everything is done in the steamer. 

2. WHERE IS ELLEMANE HAIR SOURCED ?
All our Ellemane Hair bundles and lace systems are carefully sourced and selected in Southeast Asia mainly in Vietnam, Laos and Burma.
 
3. HOW LONG DOES THE HAIR LAST
With proper care and the right installation our bundles can last a minimum of 2 years and more. Check out our HAIR CARE page for information on how to take care of your bundles and lace systems.
4. WHY DO I HAVE GREY OR RED/BLONDE HAIR IN MY BUNDLES 
Its very common to receive bundles with grey, redish or blonde strands of hair as it only further proves that our hair is authentically virgin.
At Ellemane we do not chemically alter the hair and that includes dyeing it. The hair that was cut from the donor is the hair that you'll receive but the only difference is that is has being throughly washed and sanitised by our vendor. There are two reason why you bundles may have coloured strands and the first common reason is because the donor simply had a few grey hairs she wanted to hide or that she liked to dye her hair with henna. Henna is commonly used in Asian countries as a means to dye hair and lighten greys. It's cheaper than a chemical dye and it's a natural ingredient that is easily accessible even remote areas in Vietnam, Laos and Burma.
Furthermore, henna has proven great benefits such as hair growth and it usually leave hair with dark red, red or light blonde strands. The last reason why you may have coloured strands in your bundles is because the human hair is not made up by one colour. We have various different shades of browns, blacks and blondes etc in our hair. And sun exposure plays a big part in revealing our natural highlights which is the case for our bundles as they sourced in hot climates. 
If you do not like this you can simply pluck those strands out or you can dye your hair. 

5. CAN I COLOUR/BLEACH/STRAIGHTEN AND CURL THE HAIR ?

Yes, our Ellemane Hair bundles and lace systems takes to bleach, colour and heat very well. Please, be careful when doing so or seek professional advice. Check out our HAIR CARE page for tips on how to care for your luscious bundles. 

6. HOW MANY BUNDLES DO I NEED ?

It really depends on how full you want your unit or sew in to be but on average 3 bundles in 12-20” and a closure will be enough and 2 bundles with a frontal in lengths 12-18”. If you want a fuller wig and sow in, 4-5 bundles in lengths 18-30” will do. 

 
7. HOW DO I PAY FOR MY ORDER(S) ? 

We only accept PayPal. If you don’t have a PayPal account, PayPal has the option for you to enter your card details.

 
8. DO YOU HAVE THE OPTION FOR NEXT DAY DELIVERY ? 

 We currently don’t have the option for next day delivery but we are working on it :)

- Standard UK shipping time is 4-8 working days 
- EU, USA and Canada 7-11 working days.

- Rest of the world 8-12 working days

9. CAN I CANCEL/RETURN/EXCHANGE/CHANGE MY ORDER ?

Before, placing your order please carefully read the TERMS AND CONDITIONS as due to the nature of our product all sales are final. However, we do offer exchanges for faulty items or when you received the wrong order and this must be communicated to us in email at info@ellemanehair.com within 72 hours of receiving your order. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs and its crucial that you email us with a tracking number once you’ve posted your item. Without a tracking number an exchange cannot take place. Due to hygiene reasons all individual packages need to be sealed and in the same condition as you received it. 

10. WHAT DO IF MY ORDER HAS NOT ARRIVED YET ? 

During sales orders may take an extra 2-3 days on top of the regular delivery times but in the rare occasion that your order has not arrived yet please email us on info@ellemanehair.com
